The Association of Fundraising Professionals — Greater Detroit Chapter celebrated the 32nd Annual National Philanthropy Day on Oct. 26, by hosting its National Philanthropy Day Breakfast Roundtable. The event took place at the Durfee Innovation Society building and home of Life Remodeled on Collingwood Street in Detroit. It brought together a group of the greater Detroit community’s individual, corporate, and foundation philanthropy leadership for a discussion about the important and changing role of philanthropy in Detroit. One keynote panel was moderated by past National Philanthropy Day honoree, SAYDetroit founder, and best-selling author Mitch Albom. Panelists included Michael Bickers, Michigan Market President of PNC; Cynthia K. Rowell, director of learning and impact at the Max M. & Marjorie S. Fisher Foundation; Mary Culler, president of the Ford Motor Co. Fund; Faye Nelson, Michigan director of the W.K.
