Women’s Fund announces 2023 grants

ASHLAND — Ashland County Community Foundation recently awarded seven Women’s Fund Grants to support and empower women in Ashland County.

The following organizations received grants totaling $23,627:

ACCESS received a grant for seed money to pilot a new Foundational Growth program.

Appleseed Community Mental Health Center received a grant for monthly kinship care support groups.

Ashland Christian Health Center received a grant to provide mammograms for patients.

Ashland County Cancer Association received a grant to help fund the Survivor’s Dinner.

Fostering Family Ministries received a grant to provide Trust-Based Relational Intervention training for Ashland County Job and Family Services staff as well as foster and kinship parents.

Park Street Brethren Preschool received a grant to improve door security in the event of a lockdown.

Rape Crisis Domestic Violence Safe Haven received a grant to repaint the exterior of Safe Haven’s Transitional Shelter building.

The Women’s Fund of Ashland County Community Foundation was established in 2004 to create a permanent legacy that enhances the lives of women in Ashland County.

Women’s Fund Grants are competitive grants awarded by ACCF to 501(c)(3) and other qualifying charitable organizations in support of projects and initiatives specifically designed to support and empower women in Ashland County. Grant recipients are chosen by the Women’s Fund Steering Committee of Ashland County Community Foundation.
