The Red Nose Run, presented by the Del Mar Foundation, is a 5k/3k fun run/walk on the beach in Del Mar, held every winter holiday season. The 31st Annual event is on Dec 9, and you can join this lively holiday charity event. The proceeds benefit Semper Fi/America’s Fund and the San Dieguito River Walk. Sign up for yourself or a team at www.therednoserun.com.
This year’s event begins in front of the Poseidon Restaurant on the Beach in Del Mar. The focus is on local charities and uplifting those in the community. Over the years, the team of volunteers has raised more than $391,000 in support of The Red Nose Run’s charities. All participants will receive tasty fare from the Poseidon Restaurant and a colorful t-shirt. Winners in several categories will receive awards. There will be a beer garden and live music from Dos Echos.
Don’t miss the fun lead up event on Nov. 17 at the Belly Up in Solana Beach with Atomic Groove’s live musical promotional night with The Red Nose Run team.
“The Poseidon Restaurant on the Beach has partnered with the Red Nose Run for decades because of the fantastic work they do supporting Semper Fi & Americas Fund and the local San Dieguito River Park. These are essential charities that give back to our critically-wounded military and our local community. It is a fun, festive morning with families, individuals, and even dogs on leash gathering on our beach. We so enjoy bringing the community together and seeing the happy faces as they cross the finish line,” says the Ranglas family, owners of the Poseidon Restaurant, who partner every year, in a news release.
Whether you run or walk, plan to dress in holiday attire or not, bring the family and dogs on leash for a treat along the beautiful beach in Del Mar. Sign up at www.therednoserun.com.
