Adam Haselhuhn, director of development for the John Stoddard Cancer Center, was included on the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy 2023 40 Under 40 list. Haselhuhn will be recognized at the 2023 AHP International Conference held in Orlando, Fla. from Sept. 20-22. The 40 Under 40 program is designed to recognize the future leaders within the health care philanthropy community. Haselhuhn joined UnityPoint Health – Des Moines Foundation in 2018 as an annual giving director for the John Stoddard Cancer Center after previously spending seven years in higher education philanthropy. In 2021, Haselhuhn was promoted to the director of development position. “During an incredibly challenging time in health care philanthropy, he has led a campaign for the John Stoddard Cancer Center raising $5 million over two and a half years, including overseeing the second best fundraising year in the cancer center’s 30-plus year history in 2022,” Denny Linderbaum, president of UnityPoint Health – Des Moines Foundation, said in a prepared statement. Haselhuhn also serves on the UnityPoint Health – Des Moines Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Steering Committee and is a member of the board of directors for the Des Moines Young Artists’ Theatre.
