The Philanthropy Services team at Christian charity Stewardship has won the ‘Best Philanthropy Initiative or Offering (UK)’ category in the prestigious Wealth for Good Awards 2023.
The annual Wealth for Good Awards program recognises the most innovative and exceptional firms, teams and individuals. The awards have been designed to showcase outstanding organisations grouped by specialism and geography which the panel of independent judges believe have ‘demonstrated innovation and excellence during the last year’. Each of these categories is highly contested and is subject to a rigorous process before the ultimate winner is selected by the judges.
The judges’ feedback commended Stewardship’s Philanthropy Services team on providing an exceptional level of in-house expertise and innovation in the Donor Advised Fund model. It also cited the launch of their pioneering Donor Advisory Board service as a particular highlight. This supports major donors by creating a board structure to involve family, friends and expert advisers without the burden of trusteeship.
“We’re honoured to receive this prestigious recognition of the innovative and bespoke service we offer our philanthropy clients,” said Hannah Gibney, Acting Chief Philanthropy Officer. “We want to take this opportunity to thank them for partnering with us to create maximum impact from their generosity, as well as to our charity partners and the wider Stewardship team for their collaboration and support.
“We’re particularly delighted this award spotlights our new Donor Advisory Board service. Our first clients for this service really appreciate being able to approach their grant-making in this more collaborative and strategic way, and we are seeing new levels of generosity being released as a result.”
Stephen Harris, CEO, ClearView Financial Media, the publisher of the Wealth for Good awards added: “The Wealth for Good awards are so beneficial as they give wealth management organisations and individuals the opportunity to clarify their strategic thinking, have it independently validated and recognised and to celebrate in style with their peers. I offer my congratulations and best wishes for the future to all winners and highly commended firms – they are all worthy recipients who join the global elite of Wealth for Good winners.”
The Wealth For Good Awards are part of a global programme run by WealthBriefing, and its sister publications WealthBriefingAsia and Family Wealth Report, encompassing all of the world’s major wealth management centres.
