Community Foundation of Grundy County Executive Director Julie Buck was in our WCSJ studio last Friday and she was joined by a very special guest who traveled all the way from the North Pole to Morris just to make an announcement about their partnership to offer a scholarship opportunity for those seeking to pursue a career as a 1st responder.
Santa went on to explain scholarship eligibility, caveats, and how to apply.
Buck explained an essay requirement for applicants as well as how community members can help support this worthy cause through making donations.
Before departing, Santa said he had one more surprise up his red velvet sleeve.
Buck added there is another scholarship opportunity coming up in honor of November being National Philanthropy Month. Details on that and all Community Foundation scholarship opportunities can be found by visiting their website at: cfgrundycounty.com. For questions call 941-0852.
