Fall is here, bringing with it all things spooky, flannel and the return of Palm Beach’s Pop-Up Patch for Philanthropy.
Scheduled from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at The Royal Poinciana Plaza’s East Courtyard, the pumpkin patch will have a variety family-friendly events and a selection of more than 1,000 pumpkins — in all shapes, sizes and varietals — from which to choose.
All the money raised by the Pop-Up Patch will go to the Cancer Alliance of Help & Hope, a nonprofit that helps local cancer patients pay their non-medical bills including rent or mortgage, utilities, car payments and basic needs while also providing support and information resources.
“The funds we will raise will help multiple cancer patients in need with everyday living expenses,” said Stanton Collemer, chief executive officer of CAHH. “And it’s a feel-good, fun day for the family to enjoy their time with their kids and pets as they pick their pumpkin.”
Folks who buy pumpkins can head to LoveShackFancy to paint and decorate their gourds.
The plaza’s southeast nook will be home to the Stoney Clover Lane Pumpkin Patch, which will feature pink, white as well as traditional orange pumpkins.
Saturday’s Costumes on Camera event will feature photography by Capehart Photography.
Visitors can also munch and sip on treats throughout the weekend, with complimentary gelatos from Gelato from Sant Ambroeus on Saturday, and complimentary coffee and cookies during the “Pedal Powered Java & Cookies” on Sunday.
