Radhika Jones, James Quincey, Bea Perez, and Andrew Young & Carolyn Young to be Honored at the 6th Annual CARE Impact Awards

New York, New York (October 17, 2023) – CARE, the leading humanitarian organization dedicated to saving lives, defeating poverty, and achieving social justice by empowering women and girls, announced today that the 6th annual CARE Impact Awards will take place on Wednesday, November 8th, 2023, at the Ziegfeld Ballroom in New York City.

Al Roker, Feature and Weather Anchor of TODAY and Co-Host of the 3rd Hour of TODAY, and Deborah Roberts, Senior National Affairs Correspondent of ABC News and Co-Host of ABC’s 20/20, will host the awards ceremony with a special performance from award-winning percussionist and drummer Sheila E. The program will recognize extraordinary individuals dedicated to the pursuit of bold ideas and the determination of the human spirit. Each honoree will be recognized for their philanthropy, activism, and groundbreaking work to further CARE’s mission around the globe.

  • Andrew Young, Chairman, Andrew J. Young Foundation, CARE Impact Award for Lifetime Achievement
  • Carolyn Young, Vice Chair, Andrew J. Young Foundation, CARE Impact Award for Lifetime Achievement

“Even through all the changes and crises we face as a global community, our team remains steadfast in our mission to ensure people around the world live with dignity, security, and prosperity,” said Michelle Nunn, President and CEO of CARE USA. “The Impact Awards is an evening to celebrate the hope we see in our work everyday, and will continue to see as we help families seek a better life for themselves and their communities.”

The evening will help raise awareness and funds for CARE’s humanitarian and development work around the world. MathWorks is the Global Presenting Partner and Delta Air Lines is the Global Leadership Partner, joined by Jay and Vanessa Halik and Chang Park. Cargill and UPS are CARE’s Global Ambassadors.
