Knights of Columbus Motowners Charity Concert a Huge Success | Entertainment

Must Read

On April 11th, the San Marco Knights of Columbus concluded their Rock-n-Roll Concerts for Charity starring The Motowners who electrified the crowd from their first song. The sold-out crowd was entertained by this incredible group of 11 talented singers and musicians who have performed on cruise ships, casinos, and concerts all over the United States.

Their show was an exciting mix of amazing vocals supported by a “high octane” six-piece band. They looked and sounded like the Temptations, The Four Tops, and The Supremes. The crowd enjoyed all the biggest hits from the Motown era like “Reach Out,” “My Girl,” “You Can’t Hurry Love,” and “It’s the Same Old Song” to mention just a few. The Motowners are a unique and family-friendly group that performed for two and a half hours, and no one wanted it to end!

The group had us reminiscing about the Motown era which started in 1959 by Berry Gordy in Detroit. Of course, no show is complete unless you get the audience involved. So, the women in the crowd were brought up to sing their best backup vocals and performed dance moves to the classic tune “Stop in the Name of Love”!

The proceeds from these amazing concerts support various Catholic and local charities, such as Our Daily Bread Food Pantry, St. Vincent de Paul, our Parish Scholarship Program, and several Veteran programs. The Knights of Columbus THANK YOU so much for supporting our fun events that give back to our community.
