Grant Williams partners with Quest Nutrition to fuel big dreams, interview

Must Read

On the court, Grant Williams is a force. While he has success within his basketball career, he appreciates that he can do more beyond the paint. Through the Grant Williams Family Foundation, the organization seeks to mentor the next generation by focusing on sports, financial empowerment, mentorship and arts. During a recent basketball camp, Quest Nutrition presented Williams and his foundation a $10,000 donation to the charity.

Recently, FoodSided spoke with Williams after the Quest Nutrition donation presentation. While many public figures look to give back to their communities, Williams is passionate about helping the next generation have a well-rounded approach to their future. He shared that the organization is based on four main pillars which reflect aspects of his family. From his grandfather’s love of music to his brother’s background in computer science, Williams believes that the next generation will be stronger when they incorporate wide reaching approach to their personal journey.

Speaking to their donation, Quest Nutrition commented, “We are honored donate $10,000 to support Grant Williams and the Grant Williams Family Foundation. This donation is part of Quest’s mission to support and fuel people like Grant and the wonderful team at the Grant Williams Family Foundation on their personal journeys to make a difference in their communities.”

With this particular $10,000 donation from Quest Nutrition, the money will be split so that it can help a wider reach of people. That decision showcases that Williams appreciates that a community is better when it works in tandem with others.

This donation was made during one of the organization’s basketball camps. As described on the foundation’s website, the camps take a holistic approach to helping the participants. When asked about this concept, Williams said that “the goal through the foundation is to be active, engage, and to teach. While it is important to understand that not every time will a person be perfect but they can engage and grow with good choices. Quest has helped us do that both in the nutritional space and also in the developer space.”

Appreciating that a total approach to mind, body and spirit can help anyone achieve personal goals, Williams understands that the path might not always be easy. For example, he has been open with his own wellness journey. Williams said, “I’ve struggled with my weight my entire career.” But, it is more than a number on a scale.

As Williams explained, “it is important to understand how important nutrition is for both the body and mind. Quest is a partner that not only offers instructional advice but also has great products so that I can lead by example. Being able to communicate how it works for me and allowing others to understand the concept is important.”

While Quest Nutrition supports Grant Williams and his family foundation, the products are not limited to athletes or weekend warriors. Having protein rich, balanced food choices can help the student in the classroom, the busy mom on the go or even the older generation who can benefit from an easy food option. No matter where people are in life, these snacks, bars, and treats can seamlessly fit into their lifestyle.

What is next for Grant Williams? He heads off to Dallas and joins the Mavericks for the upcoming NBA season. His foundation is moving forward and looks to empower the younger generation by focusing on those four pillars. And, Quest Nutrition will be close at hand to ensure that he has the energy to conquer it all.
