What does this community leader do?
He’s the Director of The Art Center in Highland Park, IL.
Why do you believe the community leader should be recognized or honored?
The Art Center has never been so active or recognized! James is everywhere, makes connections wherever he goes! Powerful events, shows, classes for the entire community have thrived under his leadership. He thinks BIG and works with not just Highland Park but the surrounding communities promoting art in its many forms. He encourages participation and philanthropy throughout the area. I’ve never heard him say “no” to an idea. He just makes it better. TAC has grown by leaps and bounds during his directorship. I’m proud to have served on the TAC board during his reign. He’s got his fingertips on the pulse of everything TAC. He’s well established in the larger community and makes all those connections work for TAC in the most creative ways. He’s selfless with his time spending at least twice as much time there as is required. He’s truly made huge impact on the Center and TAC has benefitted from his major efforts. He most definitely deserves the recognition!
What’s one thing you want everyone to know about the community hero?
He supports his staff and board and is a wonderful mentor to many.
