Spencer Community Foundation announces Women’s Fund grant opportunity | Spencer County News

SPENCER COUNTY — The Spencer County Community Foundation Women’s Fund is now accepting applications for charitable projects or activities in Spencer County for awards up to $5,000. The Women’s Fund invites charitable nonprofit organizations to apply for the grant by completing a grant application describing how their organization would use the award. Grant applications will be accepted from June 16-17.

The Foundation welcomes funding requests from non-profit organizations that are tax-exempt under sections 501©(3) and 509(a) of the Internal Revenue Code and from governmental agencies. Funding requests from other nonprofit organizations to carry out charitable projects or activities may also be accepted.

The types of charitable activities that may be supported through this grant program include arts and culture, community development, education, health, human services, environment, recreation, and youth development projects and programs.

The grant application process will be conducted online via the Community Foundation’s website at https://www.spencercountycf.org/grants.

The Women’s Fund grants committee will review funding requests and contact grant applicants if additional questions arise. Upon completion of the review, the grants committee will make recommendations on funding to the Community Foundation Alliance. Notification of the grant awards will be made in August 2023.
