Yolo Federal Credit Union announced they have donated a total of $17,000 to multiple organizations in Yolo, Sacramento, El Dorado and Place counters for the Big Day of Giving.
Yolo Federal Credit Union sponsored Yolo Community Foundation’s 2023 Big Day of Giving Outreach Toolkit. The toolkit provides resources and materials that can be used by Yolo County nonprofits to promote their cause and solicit donations.
“Our mission is focused on helping people achieve financial success,” said Kelley Jacobsen, Yolo FCU VP-Marketing and Operations. “Big Day of Giving is an opportunity to provide the financial support local nonprofits need to succeed with their mission.”
For the Big Day of Giving, Yolo Federal also donated to NeuroKidz, Hands 4 Hope, Winters Healthcare Foundation and Sacramento Region Community Foundation. NeuroKidz is dedicated to enriching the lives of children from various backgrounds by giving them exposure to neuroscience through STEAM. They partner with elementary and middle schools in their community and advocate conceptual learning through interactive lessons and hands-on activities.
The primary goal of Hands 4 Hope is to enable youth to make a difference in their communities. The organization’s mission is to inspire and empower youth in leadership and service. They offer meaningful community service projects combined with instruction and reflection, school-based clubs, and diverse leadership opportunities.
“Big Day of Giving brings awareness to the nonprofit sector and is an opportunity for the communities we serve to come together and support local causes,” said Jenee Rawlings, Yolo FCU President/CEO. “Nonprofit organizations provide critical services that strengthen our community. Donations like ours help ensure they can continue to do important work and make a difference in people’s lives.”
Sacramento Region Community Foundation is dedicated to connecting people who care with causes that matter. Their mission is to lead, serve and inspire enduring philanthropy for a just and vibrant community. Through collaborations with community partners and strategic philanthropy, they are working towards transforming the capital area and strengthening the nonprofit sector.
Winters Healthcare Foundation is a grassroots organization created in 2000 by a group of citizens who wanted to improve the health of all persons in the community. Winters Healthcare has become the primary healthcare provider for many community members and is committed to expanding services and accessibility.
