University of Utah and University of Utah Health in the search for
a Senior Executive Director of Advancement, Spencer Fox Eccles
School of Medicine.

Reporting to the Chief Philanthropy Officer, the Senior Executive
Director of Advancement for the Spencer Fox Eccles School of
Medicine will lead a team of clinical and academic fundraisers and
alumni relations professionals to raise funds in support of key
clinical, research, and educational initiatives such as diabetes,
global health, genomics, medical innovation, precision medicine,
neuroscience, and cardiovascular medicine at this top-tier medical
institution. The Senior Executive Director will oversee a vision
and strategy, in partnership with the Chief Philanthropy Officer
and Dean of the Spencer Fox Eccles School of Medicine, that will
continue the current trajectory of the Spencer Fox Eccles School of
Medicine towards the next level of excellence. This role provides
an opportunity for a flexible hybrid (2-3 days on-site and 2-3 days
remote weekly) work environment.

Founded in 1850, the University of Utah is the state’s public

The Spencer Fox Eccles School of Medicine at the University of Utah

University of Utah Health will consider candidates with
a broad range of backgrounds. A bachelor’s degree or an equivalent
combination of education and experience and at least ten years of
successful professional fundraising experience, ideally in an
academic medical setting, including five years of fundraising
management experience is preferred. All applications must be
accompanied by a cover letter and résumé. Cover letters should be
responsive to the mission of the University of Utah Health as well
as the responsibilities and qualifications presented in the
prospectus.

Preference will be given to applications received by May 22,
2023.
