Early-to-mid-career fundraisers are invited to apply for this nine-month leadership program designed for those looking to grow professionally and intellectually alongside a small group of peers.
The Center for Civil Society, a project of AmPhil, is pleased to announce that applications for the 2024 class of the AmPhil Fundraising Fellowship are now being accepted. This fellowship is intended for early-to-mid-career fundraising professionals, as well as nonprofit executives eager to improve their development skills.
The AmPhil Fundraising Fellowship is a nine-month leadership program where fellows will learn the history of philanthropy in American civil society, explore contemporary issues related to fundraising, and complete a personal project enabling them to bring value to their nonprofit organization.
Fellows will meet virtually on a monthly basis to discuss readings, workshop ideas, and examine the vocation of fundraising. Fellows will also have special access to AmPhil’s online educational opportunities, including our In the Trenches master classes, and will be invited to our annual Givers, Doers, & Thinkers Conference, which will take place in Southern California in October of 2024.
AmPhil Fundraising Fellows will enjoy the following benefits:
- A monthly virtual meeting with your cohort to discuss select readings related to philanthropy and civil society.
- Access to AmPhil and Center for Civil Society online events, including unlimited access to our In the Trenches master class series.
- An assigned mentor from the AmPhil consulting staff. In monthly virtual meetings, this expert will guide you as you work on a report that your organization can use to improve its fundraising operations.
- An invitation to publish in our online news and opinion journal, Philanthropy Daily.
- A ticket to our in-person Givers, Doers, & Thinkers Conference, taking place in southern California in October of 2024. This conference will bring together philanthropists, nonprofit leaders, and thought leaders.
- A special retreat with your cohort of fellows in California the day before the Givers, Doers, & Thinkers Conference.
Our second cohort of fellows will begin their fellowship in April of 2024, with a priority deadline for applying of January 19th. If you are a professional fundraiser who cares deeply about civil society, and want to learn how to improve your fundraising by us and a group of your peers, we hope you will consider applying for this special opportunity. Those interested can contact Jonathan Hannah at jhannah@amphil.com with any questions. More information and application instructions can be found here.
