Can’d Aid, a nonprofit organization celebrated for catalyzing community engagement marks a decade of harmonious endeavors this year, and in celebration, Relix (in partnership with the nonprofit) presents the Red Rocks Rendezvous giveaway, offering a comprehensive package including lodging, a fly fishing expedition and the opportunity to enjoy a sold-out performance by Tyler Childers and the Food Stamps at the Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colo., on Sept. 27-28
The recipient will also engage in bike-building activities – creating and gifting bicycles to deserving children. Those who become monthly donors are automatically entered to win this exceptional experience.
Established in 2013 in Colorado, Can’d Aid is orchestrating a nationwide movement that celebrates local giving, with its TUNES initiative taking center stage. At the forefront of Can’d Aid’s Music + Arts program lies its altruistic mission to furnish underprivileged school systems with brand-new instruments and orchestrate live-music events for children, a mission that dedicated TUNES Ambassadors passionately embrace. These illustrious touring artists dedicate their time, energy, and enthusiasm to introducing young minds to the enchanting world of music. The roster features luminaries such as Tyler Childers and the Food Stamps, Woody Platt and Charles Humphrey III of Steep Canyon Rangers and The Infamous Stringdusters.
CJ Cain, the guitarist for Tyler Childers and the Food Stamps, eloquently expressed the impact of Can’d Aid, stating, “Can’d Aid allows kids to discover the gift of music. In difficult times, music becomes a toolkit for navigating challenges—a steadfast companion. The instrument donations are a wellspring of inspiration for all involved. Playing for the children and gifting them with instruments resonates as profoundly with us as it does with them.”
The Steep Canyon Rangers were among Can’d Aid’s first TUNES ambassadors. Former band members Woody Platt and Charles Humphrey III continue to play active roles within the non-profit. The groove-inducing group has demonstrated steadfast support for Can’d Aid through their participation in six distinct events, resulting in the donation of over 130 instruments to aspiring young musicians.
Diana Ralston, Founder and Executive Director of Can’d Aid, underscored the vital role played by ambassadors, noting in a press release, “Our TUNES program thrives on the dedication of these extraordinary musicians, who extend their reach to inspire and connect with young minds across the nation. For many children, this experience is truly transformative, reshaping their perceptions and opening doors to a potential future in music and the arts.”
