Smith Family Foundation of New Jersey announces second annual Blacks in Philanthropy Conference: ‘Bridging the Gap’

TRENTON — The Smith Family Foundation of New Jersey (SFFNJ) is excited to announce the Second Annual Blacks in Philanthropy Conference,  themed “Bridging the Gap,” to be held at 471 Parkway Ave, Trenton, NJ. The highly anticipated event will take place on Thursday, Aug. 24, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The Blacks in Philanthropy Conference serves as a platform to celebrate and showcase the incredible contributions of black philanthropy within the community. This event aims to foster collaboration, inspire new ideas, and address relevant issues faced by the black community.

Distinguished Keynote Speaker

Sharnita C. Johnson, Executive Officer, and Co-Director of the Victoria Foundation, will deliver the keynote address. As a prominent leader in the philanthropic sector, Ms. Johnson brings a  wealth of knowledge and experience that will undoubtedly inspire and empower attendees.

“We are honored to have Sharnita C. Johnson as our keynote speaker for this year’s conference,” said Harold Smith, Director of Operations of SFFNJ. “Her dedication to  empowering marginalized communities and her outstanding work in philanthropy make her an  exemplary figure for our theme, ‘Bridging the Gap.’”

The conference will feature a series of engaging panels, workshops, and presentations by esteemed speakers from diverse backgrounds. Participants will have the opportunity to gain insights into effective strategies for driving positive change, creating sustainable impact, and addressing critical issues within the black community.
